  Our beautiful, spacious houseboats in top center of Amsterdam... close to the Central Station, the famous New Market, the Red Light District and China Town... offer all the comfort, romance, humor and warmth of a real home. They are our home. And we love to share with you the pleasures they offer.
  
  MUSIC houseboat is built almost 100 years ago as a river boat. It transported goods to harbors all over Europe. Later on, the boat was rebuilt as a catering boat, serving food and drinks to shippers, while waiting for the locks to open in the waters of Amsterdam. If you ever get the chance to visit a Dutch lock and watch shippers shouting at their wifes... nervous .... lees meer that the boat will get damaged by some other shipper... who's wife doesn't know how to handle the ropes properly... you will instantly get the picture why the owner of MUSIC, a passionate cook, stopped catering and emigrated to... Australia!... After the shipper and the cook... a filmer bought the boat. At first he chopped wood every morning... but when the waters in Amsterdam got frozen, he realized that central heating was not such a bad idea after all. He isolated the boat so well, that many Dutch musicians came here to after party and play their songs live... The filmer fell in love with his neighbor and emigrated to... her boat next door... in order to get some proper sleep.
  
  The passionate LOVE boat is a sea boat; built after World War II as a fishing boat, it primarily sailed the North Sea. Many original details still remind of rough winds and huge waves in the past. In the kitchen one will find several solutions to prevent glasses & cups from rolling off the shelves; in the bathroom a way to stay dry even on the bottom of the sea.
  
  SUNSET houseboat is a river boat. The old shipper transported goods all over Europe. His family travelled with him, the boat was their home. The shipper and his wife slept in the back part of the boat, a very small space, together with their children.
  
  Rose houseboat is one of the oldest (wooden) house boats in Amsterdam. Part of it has been used as an office. The director and his wife lived for almost 50 years in the other part of the boat. They separated, after the man fell in love with another woman at age of 70. Which proves that one is never too old for love and passion!
